26.03.2013: Martin Georgiev conducted the opening concert of the European Music Festival at his native city of Varna, Bulgaria. The concert programme opened with Georgiev’s orchestral piece A Seasong which was commissioned two years earlier by the Royal Academy of Music, London, in Memory of Sir Henry Wood, and premiered by the Academy Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the composer.
The concert continued with Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with soloists Dimitar Burov – Violin, Hristo Tanev – Violoncello and Milko Milkov – Piano. The final work featured was Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.6, Pathétique.
The concert was a great popular and critical success.
