Martin Georgiev conducted the first ever Roman production of Le Rouge et le Noir, a full length ballet by Hector Berlioz and Uwe Scholtz based on the eponymous novel by Stendhal at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, in Italy’s capital city. The production, directed by choreographer-repetiteur Giovanni di Palma and dramaturg Nadja Kadel starred the Ballet Company of the Rome Opera House, directed by Eleonora Abagnato, and the Orchestra of the Rome Opera, starring etoiles Rebecca Bianchi, Federica Maine, Elena Bidini, Michele Satriano, Claudio Cocino, Alessio Rezza, Marianna Suriano, Flavia Stocchi, in October – November 2024.
